Gingrich Foundation June 15, 2009 BOZEMAN, MT — The Gingrich Foundation has awarded a charitable donation to the Museum of the Rockies. “The Museum of the Rockies provides a remarkable opportunity for visitors to explore the unique scientific and cultural past of Montana and the Northern Rockies,” said Callista Gingrich, President of the Gingrich Foundation. “Newt and I share the belief that we must learn from our past to better prepare for our future and we are honored to contribute to the Museum’s work.” Founded in 1957, the Museum of the Rockies stewards nearly 300,000 objects and 500,000,000 years of history. As a Smithsonian Institution affiliate and a federal repository for fossils, it houses one of the finest paleontology collections in North America. Its exhibitions tell the story of development in the Northern Rockies throughout the last 4 billion years. The Museum seeks to inspire visitors to explore the rich natural and cultural history of America’s Northern Rocky Mountains, bringing together the best science from across the world today to unite scholars and school children in the exploration of new knowledge. “The Museum is grateful for the Gingrich Foundation’s support for paleontological research,” said Dr. John R. Horner, Curator of Paleontology at the Museum of the Rockies. “Their donation will allow us to continue our effort in finding a Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil.” The Gingrich Foundation is a domestic non-profit corporation founded by Callista and Newt Gingrich to support charitable purposes. Callista Gingrich is the President of the Gingrich Foundation and President of Gingrich Productions in Washington, D.C. Speaker Newt Gingrich is the General Chairman of American Solutions for Winning the Future, Chairman of the Gingrich Group, and Founder of the Center for Health Transformation in Washington, D.C. and Atlanta, Georgia.
